Cyprus income tax: residency, returns and planning

Cyprus income tax applies to you once you are tax resident: 183 days in Cyprus in a calendar year, or 60 days under the 60-day rule if you meet its other conditions. Plan it before you move. We check which rule fits you, apply for non-dom status together with your residency, and get a tax residency certificate in 2–4 weeks for banks and your home country. You need your TIN, proof of your days in Cyprus, a Cyprus address and your income documents. Every year we file your return on Tax For All.

Cyprus income tax and the Tax Department

Cyprus income tax is collected by the Tax Department of the Ministry of Finance, the tax authority you deal with for registration, returns and certificates. Most people first need a tax identification code (TIC) and then file a yearly return through the Tax For All portal.

New residents usually ask three things: when they become tax resident (after 183 days, or 60 days under conditions), whether non-dom status applies, and how a foreign pension or salary is taxed. Each has its own page below, and the net salary calculator shows the result for a salary.

We confirm your case and file for you.
