Affidavit of annual income Cyprus: the Immigration Permit affidavit, line by line

The affidavit of annual income is a sworn statement of your yearly income and its sources, made for a Cyprus Immigration Permit application. The investor documents list asks for the income proof as 'original documents and affidavit or declaration', and the Category F list asks for a declaration of secured annual income with an affidavit.

Common mistakes

  • Signing it at home without swearing it. The document is an affidavit, a sworn statement.
  • Amounts that do not match the tax return or statements you attach.
  • Writing amounts in a foreign currency. The form asks for euro.
  • Listing income you cannot document with originals.

Questions

Where do I download the affidavit?

From the Migration Department's 'Immigration Permits for Investors (IP)' forms page on gov.cy, listed as 'Ένορκη Δήλωση / AFFIDAVIT'. It is a one-page Word (.doc) file.

How much income do I need?

It depends on the category. The investor criteria ask for at least €50,000 a year, plus €15,000 for a spouse and €10,000 per dependent child. Category F asks for at least €9,568 a year for the applicant and €4,613 for each dependant.

Is the affidavit the same as the visitor income declaration?

The wording is almost the same, but the affidavit is sworn and refers to an Immigration Permit. Pink Slip applicants use the 'summarized statement of income' instead.
