Who fills it in
Managers, specialists and trainee employees transferred within the same group to a Cyprus entity for more than 90 days, applying for a first permit or a renewal. The Cyprus host entity files the application and signs Part IV. Short stays of up to 90 days under another EU country's ICT permit use a notification instead.
What goes with it
- Copy of a valid passport covering the whole planned transfer period in the EU, not only in Cyprus
- Evidence, certified by the Department of Labour, that the Cyprus host entity and the company abroad belong to the same group
- Evidence of employment in the group for at least 12 months before the transfer (6 months for trainee employees), certified by the Department of Labour
- Work contract and, if needed, an assignment letter certified by the Department of Labour, with the duration, host entities, position, pay and the right to transfer back
- Managers and specialists: proof of qualifications and experience; trainee employees: a training agreement and proof of a university degree, certified by the Department of Labour
- Plan A health insurance (inpatient, outpatient and repatriation of remains)
- Original criminal record certificate from the country of origin or residence
- Blood tests for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C and a chest X-ray, first from abroad and again in Cyprus after arrival
- After arrival: passport page with the last entry stamp, the original entry permit (M70) and a rental agreement, sale contract or title deed
- Long-term mobility: a copy of the valid ICT permit issued by the first EU Member State

Common mistakes
- Ticking a box in the wrong column. MICT is for an ICT permit issued by Cyprus; MICTM is for long-term mobility on another EU country's permit.
- Choosing the purpose that does not match the contract. Manager, specialist and trainee employee each have their own supporting documents list.
- Naming as main host entity a company that is not where the employee will spend the longest time. Only the main host entity appears on the permit.
- A passport that runs out before the end of the whole EU transfer. The supporting documents list asks for validity covering the full period, not only Cyprus.
- Work contract, group evidence or qualifications without the Department of Labour certification that the lists ask for.
- Foreign certificates without an apostille or a Greek or English translation.
Questions
Where can I download the MICT2 form?
From the Migration Department's intra-corporate transfer (ICT) forms page on gov.cy. The same Word (.doc) file, dated 9 March 2026, is used for MICT2 and MICTM2 and is also listed on the long-term mobility forms page.
What is the difference between MICT2 and MICTM2?
MICT2 is for an intra-corporate transferee permit when Cyprus is the first Member State, where the employee will spend the longest time. MICTM2 is for long-term mobility, more than 90 days in Cyprus, when another EU country issued the ICT permit.
Who submits the application?
The Cyprus host company, at the Migration Department head office in Nicosia. An ICT application starts while the employee is abroad; after arrival the employee registers within seven days and gives fingerprints and a photo.
How much does it cost?
Downloading the form is free. The department publishes €180 for registration, entry permit and ICT permit, €110 if there is already an ARC and €85 for a renewal. For long-term mobility it is €160, €90 with an ARC and €85 for a renewal.
How long does it take?
The form says the department informs the host entity in writing within 90 days of receiving the application. The department adds that the 90 days count from the date the file is complete.
