Who fills it in
Non-EU nationals applying for permanent residence, most often retirees and people living on income from abroad under Category F, and investors under Regulation 6(2). Existing holders use it to renew the ten-year card or add dependants.
What goes with it
- Copies of valid passports of the applicant and dependants, and of a Cyprus temporary residence permit if you live here
- Category F: brief CV, original Cyprus bank statements, declaration of secured annual income with original documents and an affidavit
- Title deed, or sale contract with proof of payment, or rental agreement
- Original criminal record certificates for the applicant and spouse, certified and translated
- Marriage and children's birth certificates, certified and translated
- From 1 September 2026: original blood tests from abroad for hepatitis B and C, HIV and syphilis, and a chest X-ray for tuberculosis, unless already on file

Common mistakes
- Turning up without an appointment. Immigration Permit applications are among the few Migration Department services that need an email appointment.
- Choosing 'Registration and issue' when you already have an ARC from a Pink Slip. Then the right box is 'Issue of an immigration permit'.
- Income figures in Part II that do not match the income declaration, affidavit and bank statements you attach.
- Missing the medical tests. From 1 September 2026 blood tests and a chest X-ray from abroad are required for Categories A–F unless they are already in your file.
- Foreign certificates without an apostille or diplomatic certification, or without a Greek or English translation.
- Assuming the application lets you stay. The form says filing MIP2 gives no right to remain without a valid residence permit.
Questions
Where can I download the MIP2 form?
From the Migration Department's immigration permits forms page on gov.cy. The current file is a Word document dated 9 March 2026, listed with the documents lists for Categories C, D, E and F and for adding dependants.
Is MIP2 the Category F form?
Yes. Category F, for people living on secured income from abroad, is one of the purpose boxes on MIP2. The same form covers Categories A to E and the Regulation 6(2) investment route.
How much does an immigration permit cost?
The department lists €500 for all persons in the application, plus €70 per person who needs an Alien Registration Certificate. Adding a family member to an existing permit costs €50 per person, plus €70 for an ARC if needed.
Can I fill in MIP2 in English?
Yes, every label is in Greek and English. Supporting documents must be in Greek or English, or come with an official translation.
Does the immigration permit card expire?
The department says the residence right has unlimited validity, but the card expires ten years after issue and must be replaced. You renew the card with the same MIP2 form.
