Common mistakes
- Filing T.D.401 without T.D.413. The Tax Department lists both for a sale, exchange or counter-exchange.
- Leaving question 8 blank when you have sold other property. Repeated sales are relevant to whether you trade in property.
- Forgetting the co-owners and their shares at question 5.
- Giving the income of fewer than 6 years at question 6 for a let property.
- Not explaining building work at question 7.
Questions
Why does the Tax Department ask these questions?
To decide whether the gain is a capital gain taxed at 20% or income taxed under the Income Tax Law, as question 13 shows.
Is T.D.413 filed on its own?
No. It goes with T.D.401 and the supporting documents.
Is there an English version?
No. T.D.413 is published in Greek only, as PDF and Word. This page gives the English for each question.

The seller, or for a company a director or secretary, stating their capacity.
