Notes 1–3
Σημείωση 1–3
Printed notes: the law is Cap. 109 as amended; the purchase up to the transfer at the District Lands Office is a matter between you and the registered owner, and the permit does not make the Government responsible for the contract; applicants are advised to seek legal advice.—

Common mistakes

  • Writing the name in lower case. Question 1 asks for block letters.
  • Property details that do not match the title deed. Copy the registration, plot, sheet/plan and extent from it.
  • Leaving out the bank statement asked for in question 9.
  • Skipping question 15 when the seller is also a foreigner. The District Officer asks for the number and date of the seller's own approval.
  • Filing at the wrong office. The form goes to the District Administration of the district where the property is, not where you live.
  • Treating the permit as a guarantee. The note says the Government takes no responsibility for the contract between buyer and seller.

Questions
